They’re getting it

Breaking up the constant velocity and constant acceleration units with a quick exposure to forces and Newton’s 1st and 3rd law is one of the best ideas ever (Huge kudos to Kelly O’Shea for that one). The results are clearly obvious in the attached set of mini-assessments. Kids have now fully mastered CV motion maps, all of then have banished the ghosts of Aristotle telling them that constant force = constant velocity (at least for straightforward problems like this), and they seem well on their way to “getting it.”

    Wow. I may have attended my hs science classes more frequently if you guys had been my teachers… I like.
