Example of screencasting with iPad and Reflection
March 15, 2012
Here’s a very short (and very rough) demo video I put together showing how you can create a screencast with inking using an iPad and the Reflection mac app which lets you mirror the iOS display. The writing app on the iPad is uPad.
It works reasonably well, but I should say that everything feels pretty beta. Some other writing apps I tried (Noteshelf) didn’t mirror well and wouldn’t change orientation to match the orientation of the iPad. And obviously, if I were to make a go of this, I’d really need to work on my digital handwriting.

NotShelf does it’s own AirPlay. So, it would work with AirPlay without mirroring. I’ve noticed that apps that do AirPlay can’t be made to mirror. They just display what they’ve been programmed to display before AirPlay mirroring was an option.
